Parsons is seeking a LCS Combat Systems Operator at LCS Training Facility San Diego, CA. This position has a competitive salary (exceeding national average) with no degree required. Responsibilities:

  • Provide curriculum support for initial, replacement, and conversion training for existing and new courses instructed across the LCS Combat Systems Operator domain in accordance with NAVEDTRA 130 series of manuals.

  • Curriculum shall be prepared encompass hands on, laboratory training, and performance testing of trainees.

  • Support the planning, analysis, and design of curricula development, revision, and change in accordance with NAVEDTRA 130 series of manuals.

  • Develop Training Project Plan for each new course and deliver materials in accordance with the milestones section within the Training Project Plan

Education:

  • For LTF Instructors, USCG license or at least 2 years of documented at-sea experience to include USN, USGS, or private sailing and at least 2 years of previous experience and familiarity with waterjet-powered vessels. Candidates with no previous waterjet experience will attend and successfully graduate from the LCS OOD course of instruction (CIN: A-4N-005).

Qualifications:

  • Seven+ (7+) years of experience as a LCS Combat Systems Operator as either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment.

  • Of the seven years, one (1) year of experience as an Instructor in a Navy Training Environment, to include presentation skills, public speaking, curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling students on academic learning problems.

  • Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing. Travel may be required up to 10% of time.

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
