Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work with support of the BART new Communications Based Train Control project with focus on the signaling aspects such as hardware, software for the interlocking and Wayside CBTC equipment.
What You'll Be Doing :
Experience in the implementation of interlocking microprocessor and automatic train control (ATC) systems deployed in a brownfield environment
Good organizational and communication skills necessary in working with transit agency stakeholders and contractors Design:
Worked on interlocking design using microprocessor · Experience with Train Control Book Of Plans reviews ·
Able to understand, review, troubleshoot interlocking and Wayside ATC application logic ·
Familiarity with AREMA standards as they apply to ATC systems Maintenance:
Experience in operations and maintenance practices applied on rail transit systems · Able to work on the design of the tools of the future train control system.
Testing: · Worked on development of interlocking and train control test plan, procedures. ·
Understand constraints for testing conditions in North America. · Participated in factory and field acceptance tests.
Be able to manage issue list, track updates and close items.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
10 years ore more of experience on metro projects (Brownfield) · Ability to interface with senior managers and stakeholders and facilitate decision making
System-level experience with rail transit systems including train control, traction power, communications, automatic train supervision system similar with international and multicultural projects
BS Degree and typically 8 years or more of related professional experience. A Master’s Degree is desirable, but not required.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Knowledge and experience with major urban rail transit projects
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to interface well with office and remote based teams
Any prior knowledge of BART system is a plus
Aptitude for both sharing and learning more advanced skills
