This position provides Systems Engineering and Technical Advice (SETA) support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Modeling and Simulation Operations (M&S OPS) directorate at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The position will directly support the Threat Modeling Center (TMC).
M&S OPS manages models and simulations that support the development, evaluation, and warfighter training of the Missile Defense System (MDS). M&S OPS is also developing a cloud based computing environment that will allow the federations of those models and simulations into an integrated digital MDS representation onto a single computing system. This position provides support to the government Contracting Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs) who manage the software applications and infrastructure life cycle processes for the directorate. This work will involve researching problems, developing solutions, and presenting these solutions on issues affecting M&S Operations.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Act as the authoritative voice and face on threat system data production to internal and external MDA stakeholders.
Assist in defining, developing, maintaining, managing, executing, and delivering threat system data products for MDS digital, flight, and ground tests, and exercise and wargame events.
Assist in the generation and evaluation of alternative solution concepts.
Balance and integrate stakeholder goals, purpose, and success criteria, and defining actual or anticipated customer needs, operational concept, and required threat system functionality.
Coordination and establish priorities of threat system data production schedules to meet MDS test event objectives.
Evaluate threat system model assumptions, capabilities, and limitations against MDA test event objectives and articulate that information to stakeholders.
Monitor threat system modeling and simulation delivery schedules and evaluate affects to threat system data production schedules.
Research, formulate, and articulate organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, alternatives, and recommendations for leadership. Develop draft initiatives to improve integration and execution and provide recommendations to leadership.
Support execution of projects including cost, schedule, risk, manpower, and performance evaluations against agreed to baselines for assigned programs; Supports contracting processes and monitors contracting activities of executing agents. Advises leadership on progress and identifies significant issues and potential mitigation plans.
Support program reviews, milestone decisions, and other decision forums. Perform risk assessments when directed. Monitor performance of technical risks. Develop techniques to monitor integrated programs, plans and schedules for adequacy.
MS with 12+ years or BS with 20+ years of professional experience

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship
Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
Familiar with Agile and Lean software development principles
Familiar with missile defense system testing processes

Familiar with DoD acquisition and systems engineering processes
Familiar with MDA Integrated Threat Package (ITP) process
Familiar with MDA organizations, missions, and systems
Familiar with Microsoft Access, Project, and Sharepoint
Familiar with Milestones Professional
Familiar with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $130,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401K.Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
