Parsons is now hiring an experienced Logistics Manager with a desire to work on creating innovative and practical logistics solutions in support of the United States Special Operations Command (USASOC).
In this role you will direct and manage execution of logistics operations in support of the United States Special Operations Command (USASOC). Coordinates task order requirements with Program Management and Logistics personnel to include warehousing, transportation, repair and return, and logistics leadership. Ensures the most efficient and effective processes are utilized in handling customer materiel. Responsibilities include coordinating program requisitions, and inventory related task order requirements with all functional organizations, performing analysis, preparing reports to validate supply obligations, and monitoring expenditures. Must be proactive in planning, scheduling and executing logistics activities. Directly supports the Program Manager and is responsible for ensuring delivery of logistics services in line with contract requirements, achieving high quality deliverables for customers. Performs day-to-day management of overall contractor logistics support. Compiles monthly reports that reflect equipment on hand, utilization and operational readiness rates.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related technical/business field and at least 10 years of related work experience is preferred.
Previous Special Operations Forces (SOF) logistics experience, with knowledge of the logistics tailored to the specialized requirements, equipment, modernization challenges and mission environments of SOF units.
Clear understanding of the planning and execution of logistics operations to support the protection, movement, maneuver, firepower and sustainment of SOF.
Previous work experience utilizing logistics automation systems and technologies to improve logistic efficiencies, effectiveness, inventory control, and provisioning, forecasting, and metric generation.
Special Job Requirements:
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of SOF sustainment and maintenance logistics requirements.
In addition, must be knowledgeable of sensitive activities logistics services of SOF missions to provide specialized equipment and air, ground, and water transportation, as required in support of worldwide special operations.
Possess six years or more of relevant senior leadership or logistics experience with USSOCOM projects of similar scope and complexity.
Possess a minimum of five years of experience in special operations logistics or operational experience within the SOF community.
Experience and understanding of DOD Logistics systems / processes and FAR / DFAR compliance and property accountability.
Experience with executing inventories and inventory control.
Detailed understanding of policies and procedures governing accountability of U.S. Government property to include its acquisition, control, protection, and disposition.
Prefer previous combat experience, extensive operations and logistics management background, and Combat Training Center (CTC) experience. Must be US Citizen and possess a final TS clearance with SCI eligibility by the Central Clearance Facility (CCF) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
