In this role you will be using your expertise tofocus on remedial investigations of petrochemical, manufacturing, and/or superfund sites.We expect you to be able to perform independent field work gathering all types of data pertinent to the assigned projects including soil, surface water, groundwater, and sediment sampling programs. Responsibilities will include performing geological, hydrogeologic, and geochemical analyses, subcontractoroversight in a field setting, and completion of field documentation such as project field reports, field notes, monitoring and chain-of-custody forms.
May be assigned to a project or organizational team or as a lead engineer/task manager for small to intermediate sized project. This will include mentoring of junior staff and supervision of one or more subordinates.
Office responsibilities may include preparation of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and other detailed data analyses.
BS degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering or related field.
3-8 years of experience performing similar functions listed above.
Must be able to obtain TWIC/Homeland Security Clearance.
A valid U.S. Driver’s license is required. Position requires travel throughout NJ, NY, MD and PA.
Proficiency in various computer software applications typically used within the assigned discipline.
Thorough understanding of all environmental rules and regulations, particularly those of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection including the Field Sampling Procedures Manual and Technical Requirements for Site Remediation.
Must have good time management and written and verbal communication skills.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification and valid refresher course.
Proficiency in implementation of a behavior based safety program.
