Job Description:
Parsons is hiring a Bridge Design Engineer with a desire to work on both conventional and design/build Bridge programs, in St. Louis, MO and around the country and world as needed. You can be a part of a global company that has transformed over 4,400 bridges around the world! At Parsons, we have the technical expertise to deliver any type of bridge design, including Long Span bridges, Segmental bridges, Cable-Stayed bridges, Movable bridges and Suspension Bridges as well as conventional bridges. Our Missouri team designs bridges of all sizes and scope which means you may have the opportunity for the full design and delivery of a bridge replacement from concept through construction which means growth and development for your career!
What You'll Be Doing
Design and analyze bridges of all sizes and scope
Structural designs, structural stability assessments for single span, multiple spans, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, precast concrete and steel bridges
Complete drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing Microstation as applicable.
Perform some bridge scour analyses
Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs
Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials
Review small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses
Prepare and issue specifications, data-sheets, and other construction documents
What Skills You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field) preferred
3+ years of design experience
Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is required
PE preferred for engineers with greater years of experience
MoDOT Bridge Design experience is preferred but will consider candidates with DOT experience from other states. DOT experience is required
Prefer experience with the following software: Microstation and InRoads, Conspan, or similar, LARSA 4D or similar, FB Multiplier or L-pile

Salary Range:
$59,300.00 - $103,800.00
