Job Description:


Provides direction and management for small to medium-sized projects and ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Project Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Typical projects range up to $50 million in total installed cost.


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical/business field and typically 15+ years of related work experience is required. Advanced degree in management or related field is preferred. Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background. Previous work history and experience of at-risk construction required. Knowledge of at-risk construction bidding and execution is critical for success. Professional registration may also be required.


Incumbent must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements or have similar experience validation . Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project. A thorough understanding of construction bid pricing, contract terminology, negotiations capacity, and Parson's policies and business objectives is required. The incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills upward/downward to both internal and external partners.
