Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Security Technician to be tasked with system evaluations, design development, installation, and integration of technical security systems, network systems and applications.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Traveling 75% to develop, install, and integrate technical security systems, network systems, and applications in various overseas government facilities in US and Out.

  • Reading, interpreting, and drawing electrical, electronic, and electromechanical schematics.

  • Reading and interpreting building plans (blueprints).

  • AC power distribution systems, motor-generators.

  • Motors, motor controls, disconnects, relays.

  • Low voltage DC electronic systems / electromechanical systems.

  • Use, repair, and/or calibration of electronic test equipment – meters, oscilloscopes.

  • Bench repair of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical equipment to the 
component level.

  • Mechanical and electromechanical locking systems – electronic strikes, locks.

  • Pedestrian and vehicular access control systems – door controls, vehicle barriers/arrest.

  • Closed-circuit television systems (CCTV) systems – monitors, cameras, switchers.

  • Intrusion Detection Systems – alarms, detectors, sensors.

  • Public Address Systems – emergency notification systems, intercoms.

  • Position requires a minimum SECRET security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

  • Biometric experience a plus.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the areas of technical security systems.

  • The candidate must be a US citizen with an active SECRET clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET.

  • Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in technical security systems and possess the ability to test and troubleshoot TSS equipment, read schematics and maintenance manuals, solder and unsolder components and researching parts, availability and costs.

  • Once employed the candidates will be required to complete and maintain a yearly medical clearance and it is also a requirement that your medical screening is completed in a US based medical facility.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Biometric experience is a plus.

Salary Range:

$28.51 - $49.90

This position requires a Fit for Duty exam as part of the job requirements. Successful completion of this exam(s) will be required post offer acceptance, prior to you being able to continue in the hiring process and onboarding.
