Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring an experienced Railway Systems Expert with a desire to work on infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our communities.

We have been awarded a contract to automate the operation of urban Copenhagen Rail traffic (Future S-Train...the migration to driverless operation of a CBTC GOA2 based suburban train network) and are looking to hire a rail systems expert to reinforce our team in Denmark.


  • Participate at designing the automatisation of the system (GoA2 to GoA4) at system level;

  • Produce necessary support documents for the various phase of the design (concept, preliminary, detail);

  • Animate workshops on key topics to identify preferred scenarios and prepare decisions;

  • Liaise with the system team (configuration, RAMS, requirements, operation, maintenance... );

  • Liaise with the subsystems (Rolling stock, CBTC, automated infrastructure, telecom, power supply, civil);

  • Report to Parsons project Manager and to client's system manager.


  • Graduated in engineering

  • 10 to 20-year experience in rail environment (driverless metro, design phase, industry, operator)


  • thorough knowledge of industry practices;

  • Varied technical expertise in system and rail subsystems (Rolling Stock, signalling, CBTC, Platform & TCC equipment, Operational rules, etc);

  • Communication and interpersonal skills in line with a complex project environment;

  • Team Management and coordination experience;

  • Task and result oriented;

  • Fluent in English;

  • Position based in Client/JV office in Copenhagen, (can include partial home office).
