About the Role:
Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Director - Construction Logistics to lead and oversee the construction of large-scale logistics facilities at the ambitious NEOM The Line development. This role demands a seasoned professional with a minimum of 25 years of experience and have a proven track record in managing complex construction projects, a deep understanding of logistics operations, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Oversee the work of project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
Take proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
Logistics Expertise:
Collaborate closely with logistics teams to understand operational requirements and design facilities accordingly.
Ensure that construction plans align with the long-term logistics strategy.
Optimize facility layouts and workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure smooth material flow and equipment installation.
Team Management:
Build and lead a high-performing team of construction professionals.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
Recruit and retain top talent.
Quality Assurance:
Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
Monitor safety performance and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Budget and Financial Management:
Develop and manage project budgets.
Monitor costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts.
Client Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed of project progress and address concerns.
Ensure client satisfaction through timely delivery and exceptional quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is essential. Additional qualification in Project Management and/or Supply Chain Management is desirable.
Minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in construction management, project management and site supervision, with a strong focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects in challenging environments.
In-depth knowledge of construction site logistics principles.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Experience working in international environments, preferably in the Middle East.
A solid understanding of NEOM's vision and the unique challenges and opportunities associated with the project.
