Parsons Corporation Senior Resident Engineer - MARINA in Tabouk, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Senior Resident Engineer - Marina for our prestigious project in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

You will be directly reporting to the Head of Marina Construction, the Senior Resident Engineer: Champions health, safety, welfare of delivery and contractor organizations

Leads the delivery (time, cost, quality) of assigned package. Supervise the contractors to ensure the works are constructed as per specification and to established milestone dates.

Manage and direct the supervision team to undertake day to day inspections of the works.

. Maintain a very high level of safety awareness and ensure the contractor complies with his obligations.

. Monitor Health and Safety of the construction works and lead to address violations.

. Resolves site issues, presents progress and package issues to client team. Discuss changes to the scope of work with the Client and key subcontractors. Responsible for following up on instructions & commitments associated with the project.

Establishes Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan and other documents in relation to the project scope.

Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors site staff performance.

Plans, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the project and the site team.

Assigns responsibility to key subordinates in their respective fields of expertise.

Work with other managers, project engineers and discipline Heads to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of the project.

Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activities within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions, which would affect project cost, schedule, performance or Client relation.

Establishes internal weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items. Manage, testing and commissioning and project close out.

Bachelors and/or Masters degree in engineering from a certified educational program . Minimum 15 years of experience in the engineering design and/or construction industry with increasing responsibility in engineering and construction leadership with significant recent experience in a marine environment

Engineering and/or leadership experience in KSA or wider Middle East

Experience with construction project scheduling and budgeting. Knowledge of construction management software, such as Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera P6 Professional is advantageous.

Experience with managing subcontractors and suppliers.

Experience with construction safety and quality control. Experience with contract administration. Experience with leading and motivating teams. Sustainable construction practices. Knowledge of Building information modeling (BIM) – practical experience is advantageous. Dispute resolution.

Deep understanding of the construction process, including: Construction materials and methods. Building codes and regulations. Project management principles. Safety procedures. .Financial management. Basic Contract Law. Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and workers. Plan and organize projects effectively.

Manage budgets and resources efficiently. Solve problems and make decisions under pressure. Lead and motivate teams.

Oversee construction projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. Behavioural Competencies. Collaborative management style.
