Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Clerk to join our team in NEOM. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.

JOB PURPOSE: 

  • The Technical Clerk will perform duties as part of the Construction Management team. The role plays an important part in keeping the Construction Management team and the Ecosystem (suppliers) connected during the period of pre and post contract phases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Co-ordinate and monitor project progress on site where allocated

  • Arrange meetings, workshops and site events

  • Ensure relevant documentation is available to the construction teams and the Ecosystem of suppliers in support of the allocated work package.

  • Write meeting minutes, action logs, reports and presentations to summarize the information gathered about your allocated work package

  • Support the preparation of contract documents to be used for construction project.

  • Ensure documentation is provided to the Construction Management team and Ecosystem (Suppliers) in a timely manner

REQUIRED CRITERIA 

  • Design and construction experience

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in using relevant software tools for the job. These include Microsoft Office, Acconex, web design and content management tools, Autocad or other relevant 2D programs, among others

  • It will help if you are familiar with BIM tools such as Autocad and Revit (or similar).

  • You should also have good comprehension skills to understand complex building plans and the ability to translate information into detailed drawings

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks at one time.

  • Possess excellent attention to detail to proofread plans, drawings and other documents for accuracy. This is because you’ll be expected to catch any errors or omissions before they make their way onto the site.

  • Able to manage change effectively, prioritising and directing targeted levels of effort to ensure positive outcomes.

TYPE OF EXPERIENCE 

  • 2-5 years of experience – ability to demonstrate multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience on-site delivery.

  • Strong proven experience in organisation co-ordination and data sharing, strong team player and collaboration.

  • Able to effectively communicate

  • Strong co-ordination backbone with the ability to prioritise workload and demands
