Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Environmental Manager to join our team! In this role you will be responsible to oversee environmental compliance, implement the Environmental Strategy, and support design, planning and construction phases to ensure alignment with Saudi Environmental Regulations, ISO 14001, and NEOM Environmental Standards. This role emphasizes the integration of environmental assessments, monitoring, and data analysis to uphold environmental quality and sustainability targets within the NEOM OXAGON project.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and manage a Parsons/NEOM Integrated Team, overseeing various contractors, ensuring environmental compliance, monitoring, and quality assurance for all development phases, ensuring alignment with ISO 14001, NCEC, and NEOM Environmental Standards.
Conduct and oversee environmental surveys, assessments, and compliance activities, including SEA/ESIA, to support sustainable design and construction practices.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure necessary environmental permits efficiently and cost-effectively.
Facilitate environmental training and provide expert advice to design, planning & construction teams, on environmental requirements and best practices.
Manage and analyze environmental data, report on sustainability performance, and integrate ESIA and SEA recommendations into project designs.
Coordinate with contractors & others for environmental reporting and analysis to meet regulatory compliance and ensure accuracy & quality of submissions to client requirements.
Engage actively in project meetings, promoting environmental awareness and compliance across all development stages
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelors of Engineering or related in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or an Environmental related subject with 20 years of related experience and at least worked as an Environmental Manager in infrastructure and building related construction projects
ISO14001 Auditor certification and/or any type of a sustainability certification (CEEQUAL/BREAM/LEED etc.).
Strong experience in preparing environmental related project plans and documents (e.g. CEMP specialized subplans), risk assessments etc.
Experience in coordinating with contractors & third-party consultants for implementing and overseeing the environmental monitoring of the project.
Experience in performing regular environmental inspections and audits
