The ideal candidate will provide expertise in the integration of a CBTC system onboard the BART Fleet of the Future vehicles. Analyze the technical designs proposed by CBTC Contractor and the Vehicle Contractor in terms of Mechanical, Electrical and network interfaces. Determine possible solutions in the best interest of the Agency. Define OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and establish and execute on plans for improving KRs. Identify technical risks of the project. Identify deviations to requirements. Interface with the CBTC Contractor, Vehicle Contractor and Agency stakeholder to identify technical options, costs and risks and establish priorities. Participate in design, Installation, testing and commissioning phases. Support the review of documentation.

Education / Experience:

  • 20 years of experience on metro project (Brownfield or Greenfield)

  • Minimum 10 years of experience of successfully leading Rolling Stock projects with cross-company and/or cross-industry stakeholders

  • Professional registration may also be required

Skills / Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of BART revenue vehicle

  • Experience as a vehicle supplier

  • Experience in people management.

  • Good knowledge of the US standards and specific BART standards related to vehicle fitment

  • Familiar with international and multicultural projects

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Experience in people management
