Our Parsons Detroit Metropolitan office in Troy is now seeking to hire a Project Manager to our Roadway team in our East Central Region to focus on projects in Michigan. We have had many recent exciting wins for Michigan Department of Transportation including multiple major bridge inspection and rehabilitation. We are seeking experienced engineering professionals to be a part of these exciting projects and to help us expand our foothold with MDOT and other local clients.
This Project Manager will lead roadway projects for clients such as MDOT and Road Commissions . Being a PM at Parsons, means you have responsibility, authority, and the best team of engineers working on your projects. In this role, you will be responsible for scope, schedule, budget, as well as business development activities for small to extremely large projects. Our project managers generally oversee project teams ranging in size from 4 to more than 20 professionals.
Provide direction and management for projects, and ensure on-schedule completion within budget in accordance with contractual obligations.
Develop and manage scope and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives.
Lead or participate in pursuit strategies and proposal preparation.
Participate in business development activities and marketing events.
Participate in professional organizations in leadership roles.
Recruit, mentor, retain and develop top industry talent to enhance the current high-performance culture.
Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects. Assign appropriate responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates based on qualifications and strengths.
BS Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering and 12 years or more of related engineering design management experience with Road/highway/interchange projects
Experience on MDOT and/or Michigan county road commission projects is essential
Proven Ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands-on technically in a project
