Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Process Engineer/Design Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work for a leading engineering consultancy on complex process engineering projects .

What You'll Be Doing:

• Process design and detailed engineering of water & wastewater treatment plants and desalination plants.

• Preparation of technical specifications with respect to the local and international standards and requirements.

• Review and preparation of technical (process design) documents, drawings, BOQ, pricing, technical submittals, commercial submittals, tender documents, etc.

• Plan, organize, supervise, and implement all design activities to be carried out on the project in compliance with the design requirements, specification, method statement, drawings, schedules, QA/QC, safety, environmental procedures, and programmed requirements.

• Review of documents and drawings prepared by different disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation, Civil, Structural).

• Providing technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring engineering staff to enhance the water/wastewater process engineering team's capabilities.

• Preparation of concept design, feasibility studies, value engineering, HAZOP study etc. for water/wastewater treatment and desalination plants.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (or related field) and more than 15 years of related work experience.

• Skilled in the design of domestic and industrial wateand wastewater treatment plants.

• Proficiency in using modelling software such as BioWin (or other similar software).

• Expertise in the process design of various secondary treatment technologies such as ASP, SBR, MBBR, MBR, Constructed Wetland, etc.

• Should have sound design knowledge of tertiary treatment and water reuse.

• Experienced in the design of anaerobic digester, odour control units and biosolids treatment.

• Demonstrated ability to work with vendors and contractors, while interfacing with multiple departments, ensuring design objectives of the project.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Familiarity with the state-of-the-art industry practices, regulations and standards.

• Strong technical leadership, collaboration and sound business value based prioritization and problem solving skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Professional Engineer (PE)/Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualified (or equivalent) or well-progressed towards qualification.

• Experience in operation & maintenance aspects of WWTPs and desalination plants.

• Skilled in the design requirements of sewerage networks, stormwater networks and pumping stations.

• Experienced in large scale (>300MLD) WWTPs and desalination plants.

• Experience in odour study including septicity analysis and dispersion modelling.

• Experienced in the design of desalination plants using reverse osmosis for seawater and brackish water.
