Project Director - Rail

Parsons is looking for a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to lead the Engineer's team for a major rail Project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the project. ensuring its successful completion within scope, schedule and budget. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in metro construction, detailed rail engineering, project management, and construction management.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Project Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Project. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to construction and commissioning

• Metro Construction Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge and experience in metro construction methodologies and best practice. Ensure compliance with Employer Requirements, industry standards, regulations and safety protocols.

• Rail Engineering: Apply detailed rail engineering expertise to optimize the design and implementation. Manage the technical team to address technical challenges and ensure the highest quality standards

• Project Management: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.

• Construction Management: Oversee om-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Management and coordinate Design and Build Contractor (Consortium) to achieve the project milestones.

• Quality Assurance : Implement robust quality assurance and control measures to guarantee the highest standards in construction and engineering.

• Financial oversight: Monitor project finances, including budget allocations, expenditure, and financial reporting. Implement cost saving measures without compromising project integrity and quality.

• Team Leadership: Bu8ld and lead a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Provide mentoring and guidance to team members, promoting professional development

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering from a reputable institution

• Minimum 20 years construction experience mostly in rail projects

• Proven track record of successfully managing construction delivery of major Metro Projects

• Extensive experience in metro construction and detailed rail engineering

• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
