Parsons Corporation Senior O&M Engineer Mechanical in United Arab Emirates
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior O&M Engineer Mechanical to join our team! In this role you will get to perform all aspects of the O&M management, scheduling, document review, field inspection and reporting of mechanical engineering related activities for several projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Completes a variety of assignments such as inspection of existing infrastructure assets, prepare reports on current condition of assets and recommendation on way forward.
Confirm and re‑defines for infrastructure assets the site asset hierarchies, asset classes, sub‑classes, and the level of condition detail to be captured.
Develops the parameters for rating of infrastructure assets.
Rating of Infrastructure assets based on a set of predetermined parameters and an agreed weighted criterion.
Estimates the remaining effective life of infrastructure assets.
Determines the expected level of functional and performance requirements for each infrastructure asset.
Ensures the compliance with by Employer’s health and safety rules and established safe working practices & control measures.
Carries out a preliminary desk‑top study to fully understand the physical assets to be surveyed and to identify any operational issues such as operator intervention, replacements, and date of construction.
Reviews small and portions of larger drawings.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Reports to the Senior Resident Engineer /Resident Engineer and interfaces with the relevant Authorities designated PM.
Maintain a daily diary or daily report of O&M activities and consolidate those of inspectors; ensure timely reporting of consequent findings and issues to the Resident Engineer and provide expert advice as necessary.
Preparation of reports, minutes of meetings etc. related to the works
Coordinate with the Contractor, if assigned by the Resident Engineer, on matters of scheduling and application of resources.
Assists in reviewing of O&M Plan, O&M Checklist, method statements and assets condition reports.
Convene and chair special meetings with the client, authorities, contractors, and other parties related to his work as may be appointed by the Resident Engineer.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
4 Years Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10+ Years of experience in delivering, O&M of Utilities and Infrastructure projects, preferably in the GCC region.
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of O &M processes, as well as industry practices.
Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with PC software packages typically associated with O&M and facilities management and the proven ability for performing in a lead capacity of a O&M program.
Rigorous experience of management asset condition surveys and preparation of reports
Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and O&M relevant software.
Must have a good understanding of contractual relationships.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience in the large O&M programs is preferred.
Excellent team player and Problem-solving approach
Prior working experience on ADM projects is desired.
