Sr. IT BRM & PMO Manager

Target Market: Abu Dhabu, UAE

The Sr. IT Business Services Advisor is a position within the Business Relationship Management (BRM) team. The BRM team’s objective is to strategically partner with the business and share ownership for business strategy and business value results. BRMs also serves as a single point of focus, working to converge functions such as IT, HR, finance, business development, project

operations, etc., and one or more lines of business or value streams. This is achieved by stimulating, surfacing, and shaping demand for capabilities and assets and ensuring that the potential business value from those capabilities and assets is captured, optimized, and recognized.

What you will be doing:

  • The Business Analyst will work closely with the Business Relationship Management team in owning business relationships on behalf of the IT organization.

  • The scope of responsibilities will be targeted towards business efficiency and IT focus related to tactical and/or operational initiatives.

  • Partnering with appropriate resources to facilitate the creation of idea documents, business cases, and value plans

  • Ensuring value optimization, communication, and employee outreach

  • Enabling continuous improvement for increased productivity in all areas and people

  • Work with BRM leads on developing material to help promote/evangelize IT services to improve end-user experience

  • Advocate for awareness of IT services and focus on business partner strategic plans.

  • Ensure proactive IT engagements with business partners aiding early problem resolution

  • Engage in design thinking activities with BRM leads and business partners

  • Educate business partners about processes, roles, and capabilities.

  • Measure and communicate business value realized with the business partner periodically.

  • Work with functional teams on value capture and deployment initiative utilizing agile processes and discipline

  • Have the ability to perform business analysis and process improvement activities within an agile environment

  • Facilitate change using positive and collaborative methods and act as an advocate to the IT organization and business partners

  • Set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive business partner experience

  • Responsible for the delivery and management of multiple medium-sized IT projects (annual project(s) portfolio size up to $2.5M) running concurrently

  • Develops the project approval documentation, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts

  • Works with project team to develop estimates, schedules and work plans to ensure timely completion of a project or working group within a project

  • Assigns responsibilities and coordinates the activities of the team, including vendors and contractors

  • Prepare financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures

  • Directs the formation, execution, and closeout of the assigned projects so it meets project specifications and requirements and is delivered within budget and schedule

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop business requirements and user stories

  • Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria

  • Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects

  • Assess and resolve all high-priority project risks as they are encountered

  • Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company

  • Continually update relevant business stakeholder of project status and periodically publish project status reports

  • Serves as a subject matter expert to regularly brief key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives

  • Represents the project in various project governance and inter-departmental forums

  • Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan

  • Ensures all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case

  • Mentors team members to develop technical and project skills; provides input for performance assessments and evaluations to Project Manager or functional manager

What we need from you:

  • Four (4) year degree from an accredited educational institution

  • Strong IT foundational background and understating of managing internal/external customer demands

  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the

  • business unit, as well as with leadership and functional teams

  • Ability to lead change using positive, impactful, and creative collaborative methods

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and other collaboration tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well in teams with a strong work ethic and attention to detail Strong relationship building and customer service skills

  • 5+ years of functional experience in a business function or business partner, or customer facing role within Information Technology

  • 5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects based on management objectives

Desired Skills / Training:

  • Business Relation Management certificate

  • Strong background in Agile processes/practices

  • Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems major

  • Special Consideration will be given for certifications in at least one of the following:

  • SAFe Agile; Smartsheet; Project Management Institute Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), MS or MBA Degree.

  • Internal Parsons candidates interfacing directly with Parsons Business executives and Project Directors/ Managers understanding their business goal & objectives and aligning the same with IT Technologies will be preferred.
