We are seeking a world class Program Managerwith a diverse background in environmental risk and remediation projects, to lead our business in the area of PFAS related Substances and other Emerging Contaminants.You willlead ourgrowth and market development into theinvestigation and remediation of Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) and will be expected to outline and leadthe strategy of pursuing work in thisemerging contamination market in both the Federal and commercial market areas.

We will expect you to both identify and execute remediation opportunities for our customers and as new projects are awarded, you will be expected to overseeboth project development and project execution, as described in more detail below. Responsibilities will include:

Providing the development of and technical direction for our team, on the various issues with PFAS and their impact on the environment, as well as sampling and analytical challenges and options for remediation.

Market and promote Parsons’world class environmental/Industrial expertise in remediation, and develop/ build key client and industry relationships to further our movement into PFAS investigation and remediation technologies.

Identify and work with clients directly indiscussions about the technical and regulatory challenges faced on sites with PFAS in groundwater and drinking water and promote Parsons expertise and abilities to address these challenges.

Develop solutions for the analysis and clean-up of these substances in the environment.

Provide technical direction for remediation techniques, as well as working with project managers on project scoping, scheduling, and budget preparation

Partner with our business development team and client program managers to identify projects, develop proposals, and win bids.

This position can be located in one of our major offices in NJ, PA, NY, CT, DE, MI, OH, TX, IL, MAor MD with expected (planned) travel to site locations around the country.

J ob Requirements:

  • 4-year degree (minimum) or MS in Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology or related discipline.

  • 15 + years (or 10+ years with an MS degree) of related environmental engineering work experience focusing on remediation

  • Expertise with PFAS (specifically PFOS and PFOA), including the following: history and sources of PFAS; regulatory status and future implications; the unique chemistry of PFAS, including precursors; exposure, health effects, and toxicity; sampling and analytical challenges and options; fate and transport; remediation challenges; legal liabilities; data evaluation; and forensics.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

  • Prefer thorough understanding of all environmental rules and regulations, involving PFAS

  • Demonstrate success in working in a team environment, being an excellent team player as well as a leader.

  • Willingness to train and develop junior employees is expected.
