Are you an experienced business development representative who has spent a career developing relationships with the various players and government agencies in your field? If so, Parsons has an opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a business development director to continue to expand upon our growing practice.
POSITION OVERVIEW :
Business Development Executive for US Air Force Business mostly focused on USAF new business opportunities including Space market opportunities, Engineering and Software programs with knowledge and relationships at Kirtland AFB, WPAFB and senior USAF executive leadership. In addition, other opportunities as assigned to support the growth goals for the ETS Division across on markets to meet the financial goals. Performs all business development activities within the full life cycle BD activities from identification to qualifying, capture and winning new business pursuits to achieve annual award goals as well as revenue and profit goals for the Market and the Division.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Establishes and maintains client contacts. Strengthens current business ties; coordinates meetings between clients/potential clients and technical or other key individuals.
Develop and maintain detailed pipeline and milestones data and annual business plan on all opportunities and leads to discuss and present business status and the detailed plan to exceed annual goals.
Qualify and pursue new business opportunities including as needed, run capture activities for specific pursuits. Meet all financial goals as assigned for submittal and award metrics.
Keeps abreast of overall business trends, particularly the current business climate within assignment sector. Conducts surveys to determine promising areas of development. Establishes and maintains numerous contacts within and outside the industry. Follows up in a timely manner on all possible leads.
Develops proposals for services in response to invitations to bid, and provides guidance to proposal team from inception to completion. Is completely familiar with past contract terms and provisions and is able to adapt them for new work as appropriate.
Makes pricing recommendations based on experience and a thorough understanding of the policies and goals of the Company.
Maintains comprehensive files of past successful proposal activity for research when new possibilities arise; may augment materials with data gathered from subsidiaries as applicable.
Meet or exceed all business goals assigned as the senior business development executive assigned.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
4-year degree in Engineering or Business (or equivalent) and least 12-15 years of diversified experience, primarily within the business development realm of a large, multinational company, is required.
A thorough understanding of proposal pricing, contract terminology, negotiations with potential clients, and the Company's policies and business objectives, is required.
Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, are also required.
