Parsons Corporation Construction Engineer - Electrical in Washington, District Of Columbia

Parsons seeks qualified individuals to put forth their resume to assist us in winning a contract for the Washington Metro Area Transportation Authority , to upgrade lighting fixtures located in light rail stations throughout the DC area with energy-efficient lighting. Work is expected to last until August of 2023.
Upon Parsons being given Notice-To-Proceed, candidates that applied to this position and were given contingent offers will begin work. Announcement of award date is expected September 20, 2021 with Notice-To-Proceed occurring soon afterwards.

Construction Engineer - General (3 Positions)
Construction Engineer - Electrical (3 Positions)
Construction Engineer - Mechanical (2 Positions)
Construction Engineer - Communication
Field Inspector (8 Positions)
Field Inspector - Electrical (2 Positions)
This job posting is specifically for the position of Construction Engineer Electrical of which three candidates will be chosen.
Provide Electrical Engineering Support during construction and equipment inspection
Coordinate and help develop Electrical scopes of work, work packages, and construction schedules
Oversee execution of field operations
Participate in Electrical surveys and other field data collection operations
Review contractor's requests for payment
Assist in preparing as-built drawings
Prepare status reports
Perform site visits and prepare reports
A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
A minimum of ten years of construction or related engineering experience, with at least two of the ten years in the transit industry;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Physical ability to access any of the locations and perform a hands-on inspection
Must be able to successfully complete WMATA's RWP Certification Class; and
Must be able to obtain OSHA 10-hour (Construction) certification.
Not required, but would be preferable if candidates have:
Familiarity with WMATA codes and standards
WMATA Safety training
Familiarity with WMATA QC process
Familiarity with Procore software
