We are seeking a Senior Construction Director to join our teampreferably in the Northern California area, but will consider other Western US regions.We are looking for anseasoned leader,onewhounderstands the complexities of self-performed construction on large heavy civil infrastructure projects, and understands the risks associated with such programs and the complexity of estimating such projects. Travel may be up to 50%, to support project teams around the world.

In this role, you will provideconstruction expertise to other business units within Parsons (Infrastructure,Federal and our Middle East division). You will work collaboratively and seamlessly with the other managers in the business units, providing estimating insight and risk management support to new and existing projects, as well as direction on construction work practices and policies.The successful candidate incollaboration with the Division manager will work in two different tracks. You will function as a construction expert, a troubleshooter, a risk manager, and achief estimator to help us execute our design/construction projects effectively in a timely manner andachieve ourfinancial goals.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Support Infrastructure Business Unitin its PM / CM projects and provide estimating expertise, construction schedule evaluation and input, risk analysis / mitigation strategies and review / input of overall delivery process.

Work with Federal Middle East Business Unitsto provide construction expertise, teaming support, risk assessment, estimating review and support, DB coordination, means and methods, and augmenting the existing resources for a successful project delivery in sole or JV projects.

Support Business Development activities such as client management/engagement, and function as an advisoron overall pursuit strategy,identification of new pursuits and partners, identification of final risk and margin on construction projects.

Location: Prefer California, but will consider other states West of the Mississippi.Can work out of your home, and travel as necessary to otherParsons offices.


4-year degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience)

20+ years of widely diversified experience (including successful management experience) in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is required.

Experience preparing cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects on $200M + Design Build and Bid-Build projects.

Proven experience in alternative delivery projects from inception to completion.

Familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, and HCSS.

Experience with complex transportation design/construction programs highly preferred.

Experience with risk assessment and mitigation in construction projects.

Experience must include hands-on direct construction project management and demonstrated estimating capability, risk management and proven expertise in alternative delivery projects.

US Citizenship is required, due to support of Federal programs

Ability/Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
