Principal Contracts Administrator (Post-contract)

Participates in post-award contract administration functions including fulfilling and meeting contract requirements, negotiations and administration. Supports and advises the Project Manager in all legal matters and Royal Commission contractual matters meet contractual compliance.
Major Activities Performed:
Maintains a legal and contractual liaison betweenContractor, SAPL and Royal Commission.
Coordinates with Project Manager, SR ResidentConstruction Manager and Resident Construction Engineers relating to fieldadministration of contracts.
Responsible for the timely preparation of legal andcontractual documents such as; Letters of Instructions (LOIs), ContractChange Orders / Modifications, Insurance Documents, Sub-ContractorApproval packages, Certificate of Final Acceptance (COFA), and other legalor contractual packages as needed.
Prepares and negotiates cost impacts and schedulechanges with Contractor for contract Change Orders / Modifications – as amember of the SAPL Negotiation Team.
Prepares contract initial and final acceptance, certificatesof maintenance and coordinates contract closeout.
Prepares and maintains records of activity and statusof contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Reviews and assists in resolving and processing claims,back charges, invoices.
Performs other duties as assigned by the ProjectManager.
Reports directly to the Director of Construction Department and SAPL Manager of Construction. Provides support to the Resident Construction Managers/Engineers in all contractual matters. Interfaces with RC and SAPL and occasionally and the Royal Commission Senior Management in supporting legal and contractual positions and negotiates directly with senior Contractor personnel.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree inEngineering, Science, or Law Degree.
Minimal (10) yearsexperience in contract administration, negotiation, or legal affairs. MideastExperience is a plus.
Must be fluent inEnglish and effectively communicate in both spoken and written skills regardingcontract issues.
Knowledge of computersand basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
